The Haltwhistle Rings

The famous Haltwhistle Rings are a set of 22 circular walks in and around the Haltwhistle region which take in some of the most breathtaking sights in the UK. This is true Roman Wall country taking in the highs and lows of the Haltwhistle countryside, the peaks and troughs of the Roman Wall and farmland and forestry as far as the eye can see.

As we have mentioned on numerous occasions, there are few areas in the UK which can boast the kind of scenery and the kind of views available around the Roman Wall. The Haltwhistle Rings in particular continue to attract visitors from all around the UK and all around the world with many believing this has been one of the U.K.’s best kept secrets for some time. Thankfully, after the demise of the UK mining industry which was very prevalent in the area the tourist sector and increasing tourist activity has certainly been a godsend for many businesses in the region.

We will shortly be adding a link so that you can download your own copy of the Haltwhistle Rings and plan one of those walking holidays which you had always thought about. You are literally 35 miles from Newcastle and just over 20 miles from Carlisle ensuring a whole array of activities and facilities literally at your doorstep.
