The tourist industry in and around Haltwhistle has led to a massive increase in the search for cottages Northumberland which is bringing more and more money to the area. Areas such as Melkridge, Bardon Mill, Henshaw, Gilsland, Greenhead as well as Corbridge, Prudhoe, Hexham, Riding Mill and other such villages and towns in the area are also prospering.
